Our Food Programs
Sited at the side of the Community House, the FoodShed is open for the Devonport community with fresh fruit & veg and day old bread. We have produce from a variety of providers - Loaves & Fishes / Coles provide some free produce and day old bread; Community Garden provides tasty pesticide-free fruit & veg. All donations are gratefully welcomed!
The FoodShed is OPEN weekdays strictly 2 – 3pm
Walk in to the community FoodShed and collect some cheap or FREE produce, depending what is available. Prices are a fraction of normal supermarket prices for most produce and no-one will be turned away if they do not have funds. We purchase the majority of our fruit and veg and charge recovery prices only. We welcome donations of home-grown produce. In winter FREE veggie soup is available on Fridays. We also have honey, jams, relish, sauce and other seasonal products we make in the House
Free Bread 2pm till late weekdays
Find our free day-old bread in the green bread-cart in the House driveway, just help yourself. Depending on amount available, the bread-cart will be left out till late.
